I can't remember my password / my password is incorrect?
To reset your password, simply click "Forgot password", enter in your email address and you'll receive a link to reset the password.
This is the link to go to the Forgot Password page: https://platform.hostology.co.uk/password/reset
- A digit is required
- A length of at least 8 characters is required
- A special character is required
- An uppercase letter is required
- A lowercase letter is required
If you do not receive an email when you reset your password, please contact support@hostology.co.uk, as we can check the system to understand why this is not coming through to your inbox.
It says "Invalid token" or "My link has expired", what do I do?
If you see an Error Message saying "Invalid Token", this means the link has expired. Links expire after 1 month for data security reasons. Sometimes though they can expire sooner than this (If the person inviting you changes settings or other reasons).
If this happens to you, fear not! As you can simply use the forgot password route to get access to your account. This will reset the validation time and allow you to access the platform still.
When I login it isn't working correctly / I get error messages?
If you are experiencing an issue with the login that is different to the above, there are somethings you can still try, to understand the issue. For example, when the system has a big update - it can sometimes mean your browsers cookies cause issues for logging in.
If you are experiencing issues where you are able to login, but the system is erroring, you can try the following solutions:
- Check it out on an "Icognito/inprivate" browser. These do not store cookies, so is a good way to check if this is causing an issue
- Try using a different browser (If you are using chrome, try edge or safari). If this works do let us know though as you should be able to access from all browsers.
- If either of the above work, it may mean you need to clear cookies for Hostology. You may need to check with your browser system how best to do this. For Chrome for example, simply:
First select the lock switch next to the URL, then select cookies and site data
Then select Manage cookies
The Delete the Hostology cookies from your browser
